چکیده

Abstract This is the first report presenting development of a Co–Cr–W–Ni–Mn alloy by adding 6 mass pct Mn to ASTM F90 Co–20Cr–15W–10Ni (CCWN, pct) for use as balloon-expandable stents with an excellent balance mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. The effects addition on microstructures well were investigated after hot forging, solution treatment, swaging, static recrystallization. Mn-added grain size ~ 20 µ m (recrystallization condition: 1523 K, 150 seconds) exhibited ultimate tensile strength 1131 MPa, 0.2 proof stress 535 plastic elongation 66 pct. Additionally, it higher ductility lower yield while maintaining high compared CCWN alloy. formation intersecting stacking faults was suppressed increasing fault energy (SFE) addition, resulting in stress. low-yield effective suppressing stent recoil. In strain-induced martensitic transformation during deformation SFE, thereby improving ductility. alloys also good resistance, similar Co–Cr–W–Ni are suitable stents.

Balloon-expandable Metallic Stents for Airway Diseases.

Stent placement is an essential treatment for airway diseases. Although self-expandable metallic stents and silicone stents are commonly applied for the treatment of airway diseases, these stents are unsuitable for the treatment of small airway diseases encountered in pediatric patients and lung transplant recipients with airway complications. Currently, only vascular balloon-expandable metalli...

- s 285 - Development of Test Methods for Mechanical Property Evaluation of Balloon - Expandable CoCr Alloy Stent

The present study aims to establish comprehensive test methods to evaluate the mechanical properties of the intravascular coronary stent with a closed cell design. We focused on three important mechanical properties required to the stent, bending flexibility, radial strength, and longitudinal strength. Test apparatuses and testing procedures were then developed for precise evaluation of those p...

Structural integrity of balloon-expandable stents after transcatheter aortic valve replacement: assessment by multidetector computed tomography.

OBJECTIVES This study sought to evaluate the structural integrity of balloon-expandable stents used in transcatheter aortic valve replacement. BACKGROUND Underexpansion, deformation, or fracture of stent frames may affect transcatheter heart valve (THV) function and durability. METHODS Patients >1 year after transcatheter aortic valve replacement underwent multidetector computed tomography....

Effect or Inoculation on Microstructure and Properties of Low C-Mn and Low Alloy Steels

Effect of the addition of various inoculants on the morphology and mechanical properties of low C-Mn and low alloy steel samples is studied by thermal and mechanical processing of the samples after solidification. According to the results obtained from metallographic studies with the electron microscope and microanalysis with x-rays, the distribution of inoculating agents in the steel matrix is...

Concomitant use of drug-eluting balloon-expandable and self-expandable stents: an approach to avoid surgical revascularization.

We report a patient in whom a balloon-expandable stent and a self-expandable stent were used for percutaneous revascularization of both coronary arteries as an alternative to surgical management. A 50 year-old male with a history of heavy smoking was referred for coronary angiography. Two weeks earlier, he presented with an acute inferior myocardial infarction that was successfully treated with...
